We are into our 14 month of the burger club and the membership has increased! What better way to challenge our ever-growing group than to eat at Craigie on Main?? Seriously...could the venue be any worse for a group of ten? But alas, we had to try it after only hearing stories of this burger enigma.
Please read comments for member's thoughts on this month's burger!
Notes of praise to Craigie:
1. Utterly accommodating. Our reservation was delayed for about an hour but we were able to seat half our club (of 9 this time).
2. To make up for misjudging the reservation, we received yummy dessert tastes on the house (like we needed MORE food...).
3. One meaty member had to leave early, so Craigie bought her a burger gift certificate. Now that's support!
Where will we be next? All signs point to Brookline....

Shaina's review:
ReplyDeleteIf I could date a burger, Craigie's would be "the one."
Complex with just the right proportion of fat, short rib, marrow, sirloin, so he .... i mean it ... is tender yet coarse (house ground) and locally raised (MA farm, adorable!). And when he's ... I mean it's ... gone, my stomache doesn't get all tied up in knots. Each bite is a satisfying journey toward heaven, except... he's (its! its!) got this flair - homemade ketchup - that doesn't quite suite its natural, perfect texture. But with his silly cheese(y - aged chedder cheese - personality) and non-egotistical flavor/style, I doubt he will ever burn me (and likewise, who would ever burn him?!). Truly a medium rare treat worth my time, money, and heart.
disclaimer: burger is on the bar menu. burger is gourmet. burger is not your every day burger. but this burger is goooooood (and unsurpassed in terms of texture/quality of burger itself). one meeeeeellion times better than the burger at bristol lounge.
